This is absolutely unacceptable! The state requires you to ride with a home inspector, yet no one will allow you to do that. Who on earth would want to train their competition!? I have contacted a lawyer in reference to this process. I spent a lot of money getting certified and now no one will do the required OJT, and that is the states fault. They should be required to staff trainers, who inspect state owned structures if they are going to require the ride alongs. All the old heads out here just make excuses as to why they don't want to train. ITS BECAUSE WE ARE ALL IN COMPETITION WITH ONE ANOTHER!!! What sense does this make. I'm sure the Alabama Builders Association will support any litigation that is brought on this process.
