Course Description: Approved Alabama Residential New Construction Course to receive your (RNC) Designation:     

This is an eight-hour course using PowerPoint slides. This course is an in-depth presentation of inspecting a newly constructed Alabama regional home including inspection scope and limitations, criteria for inspecting components, and inspection reporting requirements specific to the State of Alabama Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. This course was developed by Mike Casey in conjunction with AHIO home inspector representatives. The course was in development over the past 3 years specifically for Alabama inspectors to use in residential new construction inspection education in the region of Alabama. After many hours of review and revision by a team of Alabama home inspectors and the Division of Construction Management, this state approved course is offered on the following dates listed below.

The sign-up on the AHIO website will go live as we get closer to the Birmingham event. AHIO members will have the first opportunity to register. We will ask the State to list the event on their website and send out an info email to licensees for all State Licensed Home Inspectors to have the opportunity. 

The fee for this class will be $250 for AHIO members and $350 for non-members. You have two options for joining AHIO - an annual $250 fee or a $25 monthly fee. Registration will be Online Only with no same-day walkup registration.
