Dear ASHI South members, Alabama Home Inspectors, and Guests; we hope you can attend our ASHI South Chapter Meeting on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 9 am in the North Shelby Library, located at 5521 Cahaba Valley Rd, Birmingham, AL 35242. We have reserved the room upstairs; use the ramp along the wood line at the right side of the building to access the rear egress door. 

Donuts and coffee will be served, and our continuing education presentation will cover a critical topic with a speaker you don’t want to miss. This ASHI South meeting will provide 4 hours of continuing education credits and you’ll still have most of the afternoon to spend with friends and family.

• At 9:00 AM, Dr. Terry Holder, ACI/ASHI South Vice President, will teach "Inspecting Decks and Fireplaces.” This will be a 3-hour course covering what to look for and addressing safety issues.
• At 11:25 am, we will enjoy our Full Moon B.B.Q  Lunch (Thank You, Mike Ray & helpers.)
• At 11:50 am, we'll hear from AHIO's Executive Director Jerry Kelly and AHIO Founder Andrew Griffith for an AHIO update. (If you are not already an Alabama Home Inspector Organization member, please consider joining the effort to protect Alabama’s Home Inspection Industry. Also, mark your calendar and register for the AHIO 2023 WINTER CONFERENCE, where you can get 16 hrs. continuing education hours in one weekend at the Gulf Shores State Park Learning Campus Feb 24-26, 2023. • At 12 pm, Dr. Holder will finish presenting his continuing education course; we will have our ASHI South Officer elections, distribute ASHI’s annual financials, and should dismiss by 1:30 pm.

Part of ASHI South's mission is to encourage other home inspectors. We encourage all Alabama Home Inspectors to attend our ASHI South chapter meetings for educational opportunities, money-making marketing ideas, and money-saving tips to help your business. There is no fee for first-time visitors, and home inspectors in training that are not yet licensed can attend up to 3 meetings for free. If you are not an ASHI South member, there is a $40.00 fee per meeting that helps to cover the food and 4 hours of continuing education.
